Proverbs - Sunday PM

Pastor Tom Craig - Does Proverbs 22:6 guarantee a parent success? God calls me to train my child, with the hope that God will use this training to influence the life choices that my child makes. Parents for centuries have wondered if Proverbs 22:6 is really the hope they are looking for in raising their children: "if I only do a decent job as a parent, then I am guaranteed my child will turn out alright". Is it possible that this verse really promises such a prospect? Is this prospect really what we want as parents? Or, perhaps, is there a hope given in Proverbs that is even more promising than Proverbs 22:6?

Pastor Tom Craig - Sunday Evening - Because I have seen...that there is an abundance of unsuccessful stories in the Scripture...that most parents soften their dogmatic parenting maxims as they raise their children...that you are responsible for your own role as a parent...that no one on this planet is completely objective...that the more spiritual a child becomes does not make a parent more or less spiritual...that the appeals in Proverbs are just that, appeals...that each child is given their own mind, will and heart to make choices and thereby choose their consequences...and that you, the parent, are not the story, God is---We must go to God's word!
